Baby Zarah, a 5-year-old girl, has been diagnosed with left-sided empyema with right-sided bronchopneumonia, a serious and life-threatening chest infection affecting both lungs.
Due to worsening respiratory distress and accumulation of infected fluid in the chest cavity, she underwent Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery (VATS) to remove the pus and control the infection. Despite the procedure, her condition remains critical and she requires intensive postoperative care.
She is currently under close medical supervision at ACME Healthcentre, where doctors are providing continuous monitoring and advanced treatment support.
Diagnosis Details
- Left-Sided Empyema (pus collection in pleural cavity)
- Right-Sided Bronchopneumonia
- Severe respiratory distress
- Post VATS surgical management
Her condition had been worsening progressively, and urgent surgical intervention was required to prevent further complications such as lung collapse or sepsis.
Following the VATS procedure, Baby Zarah requires:
- Postoperative NICU care
- Oxygen and respiratory support
- Strong IV antibiotics
- Regular blood investigations and imaging
- Continuous monitoring for complications
- Prolonged hospital stay
Doctors anticipate that she may require extended intensive care depending on her recovery progress.
The estimated cost for surgery and postoperative NICU care is approximately ₹7,00,000, which includes:
- VATS surgical procedure
- NICU stay and monitoring
- Medicines and antibiotics
- Doctor and anesthesia charges
- Investigations and imaging
⚠️ This is an estimated amount and may vary depending on complications and duration of hospital stay.
Baby Zarah has no father, and her single mother is the sole earning member of the family. She works hard but earns a very nominal income, barely sufficient to manage daily household expenses.
The sudden medical emergency and high treatment cost have left the family financially helpless.
Baby Zarah is bravely fighting a severe lung infection. With timely medical care, she has a strong chance of recovery—but the treatment must continue without interruption.
We humbly request kind-hearted donors and well-wishers to extend financial support to help cover her treatment expenses.
Your contribution—no matter how small—can help this little girl breathe freely again and return to a healthy childhood.
Please come forward and support Baby Zarah during this critical time.
