Master Advik, a 5-year-old boy, is currently undergoing treatment at BMJH Hospital, Bengaluru, under the care of Dr. Mohan Reddy. He has been diagnosed with Severe Thalassemia (Thalassemia Major / Intermedia), a life-threatening genetic blood disorder.
Advik has been dependent on regular blood transfusions since the age of 6 months, which has severely affected his quality of life and overall health. Despite continuous transfusion therapy, his condition has been gradually worsening.
After thorough medical evaluation, the doctors have confirmed that the only curative and permanent treatment for Advik is a Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT).
The hospital conducted HLA typing for family members and found that Advik’s mother is a haploidentical match. Based on this, the medical team has planned a Haploidentical Bone Marrow Transplant, using bone marrow donated by his mother.
Due to his declining clinical condition, the doctors have advised that the transplant must be done on an urgent basis. Any delay may lead to:
· Severe infections
· Iron overload complications
· Organ damage
· Life-threatening risks
Advik is currently admitted in the hospital and will require more than one month of hospitalization, including isolation care, intensive monitoring, and post-transplant recovery.
The approximate cost of treatment is ₹14,00,000 (Fourteen Lakhs), which includes:
· Bone Marrow Transplant procedure
· Pre- and post-transplant investigations
· Chemotherapy & conditioning regimen
· Hospital stay & isolation care
· Doctor & specialist charges
· Medicines, blood products & consumables
· Post-transplant supportive care
This is an estimated amount, and the final cost may vary depending on complications and duration of stay.
Advik’s father is a daily-wage sales worker with a very limited and unstable income. The family does not have any savings or medical insurance and is completely unable to afford such an enormous treatment cost.
Despite their best efforts, the family has exhausted all possible financial resources and now urgently needs external support to save their child’s life.
In view of the genuine and critical medical condition, we humbly request you to extend maximum financial help to support Advik’s life-saving Bone Marrow Transplant.
Your small or big contribution can help:
· Stop his lifelong dependence on blood transfusions
· Give him a chance at a healthy, normal childhood
· Save an innocent life
Please come forward and help Master Advik fight Thalassemia.
Your kindness can give him a future.
