Baby Madiha, an 8-month-old infant girl, is currently admitted at BJWHC Hospital, Mumbai, under the care of Dr. Susihaar. She is critically ill and is receiving treatment in the intensive care unit.
She was admitted with hypotensive shock, following which her condition progressed to multi-organ dysfunction, involving the heart (CVS), kidneys, muscles, liver, and lungs. Baby Madiha has a history of chronic diarrhea since infancy, resulting in failure to thrive and severe nutritional deficiency.
At present, Baby Madiha is:
- On invasive mechanical ventilator support
- Undergoing peritoneal dialysis due to kidney failure
- On broad-spectrum intravenous antibiotics
- Requiring special therapeutic diet and nutritional support
Doctors suspect an underlying genetic or metabolic disorder or internal dysfunction causing her chronic diarrhea and poor growth. She is currently being evaluated by a multidisciplinary team, including:
- Nephrologist
- Gastroenterologist
- Genetics specialist
The genetic investigation reports are awaited, and her condition remains extremely critical.
Due to the severity of her illness, Baby Madiha is expected to require:
- Prolonged ventilator support
- Continuous ICU monitoring
- Oxygen support
- Regular blood investigations
- Imaging (X-rays and other scans)
- Long hospital stay of more than one month
- Supportive and life-saving medical management
The treatment must continue urgently and without interruption to give her a fighting chance at survival.
The estimated cost of treatment is approximately ₹1,40,000, which includes:
- ICU & ventilator charges
- Peritoneal dialysis
- Investigations (pre & post)
- Medicines & IV antibiotics
- Doctor & specialist charges
- Oxygen, imaging, and supportive care
This amount may increase depending on complications and length of ICU stay.
Baby Madiha’s father is a daily-wage laborer with extremely limited income. The family has no savings or medical insurance and is unable to bear the heavy cost of prolonged intensive care treatment.
In view of the critical and life-threatening condition of Baby Madiha, we humbly appeal for maximum financial support to help continue her life-saving treatment.
Your contribution—big or small—can help:
- Keep her on ventilator and dialysis support
- Continue essential investigations and medicines
- Give her a chance to survive and recover
Please come forward to help Baby Madiha in this fight for life.
Your kindness can save a precious life.
