Baby Darsh Mulik, a 1-year-old boy, has been diagnosed with Esophagus Atresia, a congenital condition in which the Esophagus (the tube that carries food from the mouth to the stomach) is not properly connected. This condition prevents the baby from swallowing food and saliva properly, posing significant risks to his health and development.
Darsh has been unable to feed normally since birth due to the discontinuity of his esophagus. This has led to frequent episodes of choking, coughing, and aspiration, necessitating immediate medical intervention. His condition has been managed with supportive care, but surgical correction is now urgently required to restore normal esophageal function.
The recommended treatment for Darsh's Esophagus Atresia involves a surgical procedure to reconnect the two ends of the esophagus. This surgery aims to establish a continuous passage from the mouth to the stomach, allowing for normal feeding and swallowing. The procedure is complex and requires specialized pediatric surgical expertise, followed by intensive postoperative care to ensure successful recovery.
The cost of the surgical intervention for Esophagus Atresia, including preoperative evaluation, surgical procedure, postoperative ICU care, medications, and other ancillary services, is substantial. It is estimated that the total cost for Darsh's treatment at Jupiter Hospital will be approximately 600,000 INR.
Darsh's father works as a daily wage laborer at a construction site, earning a modest income to support the family. However, the cost of his son's medical treatment exceeds their financial means. The family's financial situation, combined with the urgent need for surgical intervention, makes it impossible for them to afford the necessary medical care for Darsh.
Given the dire financial circumstances faced by Darsh's family and the critical nature of his condition, we earnestly request assistance in securing funding or resources to cover the cost of his medical treatment. Every effort will be made to ensure that Baby Darsh receives the specialized care he urgently needs to overcome the challenges associated with Esophagus Atresia.
Your support and assistance during this critical time will make a profound difference in Baby Darsh's life and his family's well-being. We appeal to your compassion and generosity in helping to alleviate their financial burden and provide them with the hope and reassurance they need during this challenging journey.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. We remain hopeful for a positive response and deeply appreciate any assistance you may be able to provide.
