Little Shivanya Bhatt, a 4-year-old girl, has been diagnosed with T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (T-ALL), a serious and aggressive form of blood cancer. Her treatment commenced on 20 April 2026 at SRCC Children's Hospital, Mumbai, under the supervision of a specialized pediatric oncology team.
Following her diagnosis and medical evaluation, doctors have recommended intensive cancer treatment, including chemotherapy and a planned Haploidentical Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT), also known as an allogeneic Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation.
As per the treating doctor's medical certificate, Shivanya is expected to require approximately 1.5 to 2 years of treatment, including chemotherapy, the planned bone marrow transplant, and essential post-transplant follow-up care. The duration may vary depending on her response to treatment and any complications.
According to the official cost estimate provided by Narayana Health, the approximate expenditure for Shivanya's bone marrow transplant and related treatment is ₹51,50,000 (Rupees Fifty-One Lakh Fifty Thousand Only).
The estimated expenses include:
- Pre-transplant investigations and medical workup.
- HLA testing and related procedures.
- Hickman line insertion and supportive care.
- Bone marrow transplant package.
- Haploidentical transplant kit.
- Conditioning regimen and other essential medications.
- Post-transplant treatment and care.
The hospital has also indicated an expected stay of at least 42 days for the transplant admission. The final expenses may vary depending on the actual treatment requirements and medical complications.
Shivanya belongs to an economically underprivileged family. Her father works as a daily-wage labourer and earns a very nominal income through irregular employment. His earnings are just enough to manage the family's basic day-to-day necessities.
Being a daily-wage worker, he has no fixed monthly salary, substantial savings, or financial security. Whatever little he earns is spent on food, household expenses, and the basic needs of his family.
The news of his little daughter's life-threatening illness has brought immense emotional and financial distress to the family. Despite his best efforts, arranging such a huge amount of ₹51.50 lakh is completely beyond his financial capacity.
The family is struggling to cope with the situation and is helpless in the face of such enormous medical expenses. A father who earns his living through hard physical labour cannot possibly arrange such a substantial amount on his own.
For Shivanya, this is not just another medical treatment; it is a fight for her childhood, her future, and her life. At an age when she should be playing, learning, and enjoying the happiness of childhood, she is instead fighting a serious battle against blood cancer.
Her parents are desperately hoping for her recovery, but their financial limitations are becoming a major obstacle in continuing the long and expensive treatment.
We sincerely appeal to generous individuals, charitable organizations, corporate donors, NGOs, and philanthropic institutions to come forward and extend financial assistance towards Shivanya's treatment.
Every contribution, irrespective of its amount, can help ease the family's burden and support the continuation of her critical medical care.
Let us come together to give little Shivanya a fighting chance at life. Your kindness, generosity, and support can bring hope to a family that is struggling to save their beloved daughter.
Please extend your helping hand and help save Shivanya Bhatt.
Every contribution counts. Every act of kindness matters. Together, we can give this little girl hope for a healthier tomorrow.
