The newborn baby boy of Meghana was delivered prematurely at just 32 weeks of gestation and weighs only 1.240 kilograms. Due to his extreme prematurity and very low birth weight (VLBW), he is suffering from Respiratory Distress Syndrome (RDS) and Neonatal Jaundice (NNJ) — both life-threatening conditions in premature infants.
The doctors at NICE Hospital, Kolhapur have advised immediate NICU admission for intensive care. The treatment plan includes oxygen and ventilator support, blood investigations, X-rays, tube feeding, and round-the-clock monitoring until the baby stabilizes and gains adequate weight.
The estimated cost of treatment is approximately ₹3,50,000 to ₹4,00,000, which covers prolonged NICU stay, medical management, investigations, medicines, and doctor charges.
The baby’s father works as a daily wage labourer and small sales person, earning just enough to meet the family’s daily needs. With such limited income, the family is unable to bear the high cost of their newborn’s intensive care treatment.
They are in urgent need of financial support to continue the NICU care that can save their baby’s life.
Your kind contribution can help this tiny fighter survive and return home healthy to his parents. The family’s financial situation makes it impossible for them to afford the ongoing NICU treatment without help.
Every rupee counts and brings the newborn closer to recovery. Please come forward and support the baby boy of Meghana in his fight for life. 🙏
