Birth History:

• Gestational Age: 26 weeks (extremely preterm)
• Type of Delivery: Emergency LSCS (Lower Segment Cesarean Section)
• Indications for Delivery:
• Severe oligohydramnios in one twin
• Per vaginal leaking
• Suspected chorioamnionitis

Neonatal Details:

• Gender: Twin Male Babies
• Birth Weight: Approximately 850 grams each (Extremely Low Birth Weight)

Current Clinical Status:
Both neonates are admitted to the NICU at Horizon Prime Hospital, Thane. Their condition remains critical due to:

• Extreme prematurity
• Extremely low birth weight
• Respiratory Distress Syndrome (RDS)
• Requirement of surfactant therapy
• Need for invasive mechanical ventilation
• Development of right-sided pneumothorax in one baby
• Currently on High Frequency Ventilation (HFV)
• Receiving intravenous antibiotics
• On partial parenteral nutrition

Expected Course & Treatment Needs:
Due to their fragile condition, both babies will require:

• Prolonged NICU stay (~100 days or more)
• Gradual respiratory support (Ventilator → CPAP → High-flow oxygen)
• Intensive round-the-clock monitoring
• Intermittent blood transfusions
• Weeks to establish adequate feeding
• Weight gain to at least 1.6 kg prior to discharge
