Baby Zain, a 4-month-old baby boy, was diagnosed with Supracardiac Total Anomalous Pulmonary Venous Connection (TAPVC) following evaluation for respiratory distress and cyanosis. TAPVC is a congenital heart defect where the pulmonary veins draining oxygen-rich blood from the lungs do not connect to the left atrium as they should, resulting in abnormal blood flow. This condition requires surgical repair to restore proper circulation and prevent complications such as heart failure and pulmonary hypertension.
The recommended treatment for Baby Zain's TAPVC involves surgical repair to reroute the pulmonary veins to the left atrium, restoring normal blood flow. This procedure is typically performed by a pediatric cardiac surgeon under cardiopulmonary bypass. Following surgery, Baby Zain will require postoperative intensive care in the ICU to monitor for complications and ensure optimal recovery.
The cost of surgical repair for TAPVC, including preoperative evaluation, surgical procedure, postoperative ICU care, medications, and other ancillary services, can be substantial. It is estimated that the total cost for Baby Zain's treatment at Jupiter Hospital, including the surgical procedure and postoperative ICU care, will be approximately 330,000 INR.
Naziya Shaikh, Baby Zain's mother, is the primary caregiver for the family. Baby Zain's father works as a daily wage laborer, earning a modest income that is insufficient to cover the cost of his son's medical care. With limited financial resources and no access to health insurance or any other assistance programs, the family is facing significant difficulty in affording the necessary treatment for Baby Zain.
Given the financial constraints faced by Baby Zain's family, we earnestly request assistance in securing funding or resources to cover the cost of his medical treatment. Every effort will be made to ensure that Baby Zain receives the specialized care he urgently needs to undergo surgical repair for his TAPVC and achieve the best possible outcome.
Your support and assistance during this critical time will make a profound difference in the life of Baby Zain and his family. We appeal to your compassion and generosity in helping to alleviate their financial burden and provide them with the hope and reassurance they need during this challenging journey.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. We remain hopeful for a positive response and deeply appreciate any assistance you may be able to provide.
