My new born is only 25 days old and was born in the Eighth month of pregnancy (31 weeks). But my joy was short-lived. I have yet to hold as she is in the NICU. Please save my child." Pramod the father.
Baby girl was born to Pramod and Rachana Gupta in the Eighth month of her pregnancy. The new born baby girl was underweight (1.1 kg) and have respiratory distress. She is currently in the NICU at The Children’s Hospital Mumbai. Child is on ventilator and high antibiotics, NIV / CPAP support, Weight monitoring and will need long hospital stay. The estimated cost for their treatment is ₹4,00,000.
The new born baby father Pramod works as a daily wage labour and has already spent all the savings in treatment of the child which also has impacted his income and the family is finding it difficult to make ends meet, let alone be able to pay for his child medical care.
We were blessed with the baby girl, but I could not even celebrate the birth of my child when she was born premature with multiple complications. She is so small and weak. How can I be happy when she is suffering like this? All I want is to take her home safe. All I feel is fear right now. Fear of losing my child again. After delivering baby my wife was in critical condition and was shifted to K.E.M Hospital from Maternity but after 4 days my wife passed away and I will never recover from this. Watching her tiny body covered in tubes and IVs is unbearable. I have been running from pillar to post to raise funds for my child’s treatment after losing my wife. Please help save my child." Pramod the father.
