"I am so helpless; my son doesn't even have a name yet. He is so fragile that I can't even touch him. And he is constantly crying because of the respiratory issue and kept under NICU. I can't stop crying whenever I see him." says Sheeba.
The new parents cried bitter-sweet tears when they had to hastily welcome their son who was having breathing issue (Respiratory problem, unable to breathe on his own).He is currently on ventilator support and will require prolonged stay in the intensive care.
Sheeba and Aslam, were overjoyed to know they were finally expecting their first child. Father working as a farmer at village in Uttar Pradesh and is a only earning member of the family who is diagnosed with Malaria because of which he couldn’t come to Mumbai and Mother is a housewife, Aslam knew it won't be enough to provide for a new member in the family. He was keen on taking up odd jobs to help support their new family.
However, when a catastrophe like this hit their family, he did everything he could, from selling their belongings to borrowing money to help his child have a healthy future but to no avail. Child has been ailing for 20 days and was shown to various doctors and symptomatically treated but condition did not improved.
The total cost of his treatment is 70,000. With the current lockdown in the city, Aslam is left with no job and no more money for the treatment as he himself is been diagnosed with Malaria.
"I am left with no choice but to beg for help. I've spent all my savings on my son's bills and yet he has a long way to recovery. I have never felt more unworthy than right now, I can't even help save my own child." says Aslam.
This helpless family needs you!
