Baby Rukaiya, a 2-year-old girl, is currently undergoing treatment at Panacea Hospital, Dehradun, under the medical care of Dr. Himanshu Saxena. She has been diagnosed with Retinoblastoma of the left ocular globe, a life-threatening eye cancer that requires immediate and aggressive treatment to save her life and prevent further spread.

Her clinical condition is not stable, and doctors have advised urgent intervention along with continuous medical supervision.

Confirmed Diagnosis:

• Retinoblastoma – Left Eye (Ocular Globe)

Investigations Conducted / Planned:

• Complete Blood Count (CBC)
• Liver Function Test (LFT)
• Kidney Function Test (KFT)
• PT / INR
• Random Blood Sugar (RBS)
• HCV and other essential pre-treatment evaluations

These investigations are critical to assess her condition and safely proceed with cancer treatment.

Due to the seriousness of her condition, Baby Rukaiya will require:

• Prolonged hospitalization (more than one month)
• Intensive Care Unit (ICU) stay
• Ventilator support if required
• Cancer-specific medical management
• Continuous monitoring and supportive care

The treatment must begin urgently, as any delay could lead to irreversible complications or spread of cancer.

The approximate cost of treatment is ₹13,50,000, which includes:

• ICU & ventilator charges
• Investigations (pre & post treatment)
• Doctor & oncology specialist fees
• Medicines and supportive therapy
• Hospital stay and nursing care

The final cost may vary depending on complications and length of ICU care.

Baby Rukaiya’s father works as a factory laborer with very limited income. The family has no medical insurance or savings and is financially incapable of managing such a high medical expense on their own.
