Baby Anik, a 9-month-old infant, has been diagnosed with Primary Immunodeficiency – Severe Combined Immunodeficiency (SCID), a rare and life-threatening genetic disorder. In this condition, the child’s immune system is extremely weak and unable to fight even common infections.
Despite continuous medical care, Baby Anik’s health has been deteriorating, and doctors have advised urgent definitive treatment to save his life.
Diagnosis Details -
- Primary Immunodeficiency Disorder
- Severe Combined Immunodeficiency (SCID)
- High risk of recurrent and severe infections
- Progressive weakening of immunity
Without timely treatment, this condition can become fatal.
Doctors at Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General (LTMG) Hospital have recommended:
- Autologous Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) – the only curative treatment
- Pre-transplant chemotherapy (conditioning therapy)
- Post-transplant intensive monitoring and ICU care
- Long-term medications and infection prevention
This treatment is time-sensitive and cannot be delayed further.
The estimated cost of treatment is approximately ₹11,02,450, which includes:
- Bone Marrow Transplant procedure
- Chemotherapy and supportive treatment
- ICU and hospital stay
- Doctor, anesthesia, and nursing charges
- Medicines, investigations, and post-transplant care
This is an estimated amount. The final cost may vary depending on complications, infections, prolonged ICU stay, or additional medical needs.
Baby Anik’s father is a farmer, earning a very modest and irregular income. The family has no financial savings or medical insurance, making it impossible for them to afford such an expensive and prolonged treatment on their own.
Baby Anik is running out of time. Without urgent intervention, his condition will continue to worsen and may become life-threatening.
We earnestly request kind-hearted donors to support this little child in his fight for survival.
Every contribution—big or small—can help give Baby Anik a chance to live a healthy life.
Your support can help him undergo this life-saving Bone Marrow Transplant and bring hope to his struggling family.
